Kasim Abid قاسم عبد }}) is a London-based cameraman, film director and producer of Iraqi origin.[1]
Born in Baghdad, Iraq to a Shia family, Abid has lived life in exile, first, in Moscow where he had trained to become a cameraman, and then in London, where he eventually became an established filmmaker.[2]
Abid has worked for three years as head of Camera and Location Production for ANN (Arab News Network) in London. He has also taught television training courses in Palestine and Iraqi Kurdistan. Abid earned a diploma from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad and an MA from the Moscow Film Institute.[3]
